Another big job completed on a Whirlpool washer in North Vancouver.
The client had a slow leak for about a year after another company replaced the door gasket. The major tear was fixed, but small leaks kept happening every wash. When we inspected the unit, we carefully reinstalled the gasket and tested everything, but the issue didn’t go away. Based on our experience, this usually points to an aftermarket gasket that doesn’t fit perfectly, which causes ongoing leaks even when installed correctly.

We got a call from a homeowner in Maple Ridge about a leaking Frigidaire dishwasher.

Another Dryer Not Heating in Vancouver… But The Problem Was NOT The Dryer 🔥
Today our technician repaired a Maytag dryer in Vancouver that was not heating properly. The customer thought the heating element was gone. But after we pulled the dryer out, we found the real problem.
The vent hose behind the dryer was completely squished.
Because of that, hot air could not escape outside. When air cannot flow properly, the dryer overheats, stops heating correctly, and can even become a fire risk.
On top of that, the duct hose was torn and had a hole in it. There was heavy lint buildup everywhere. Lint is extremely flammable, so this situation was not safe.
After inspecting everything, we also discovered the installation mistake.
The booster fan was installed on the wrong side. There is a sprinkler pipe at the top of the space, so the previous installer placed the booster fan on the right side instead of the left side where it was designed to go. Because of that, the dryer could not be pushed fully into place without crushing the vent hose again.

• Removed the damaged duct hose
• Installed a brand new vent hose
• Adjusted the dryer position so it is safe and not squeezing the vent

Yesterday our technician completed a full service on four large commercial dryers in a shared laundry room in Pitt Meadows.
One of the units was not heating. After proper testing with a multimeter, we confirmed the heating element is open circuit, which means the element has failed and needs replacement.
But that wasn’t the only issue.
